History
Prior to the development of the system, research works were preserved only through printed or hardbound copies, which were stored in university or school libraries. While this approach guaranteed that academic works were physically stored, it posed significant challenges for both researchers and students. The potential for timely and essential academic inquiry was stifled by the time-consuming procedure of manually sifting through piles of books and theses, which oftentimes impeded effective access to relevant resources.
As advanced technology and digital platforms became preferred by many for academic use, the idea of creating an innovative online platform for storing and viewing research was created. The system enhances convenience and accessibility as well as sustainability through minimizing the use of printed copies. It provides a safe environment where academic publications are stored for future references, empowering students and faculty to readily search, retrieve, and access previous research with ease.
This platform fosters intellectual exchange, promotes the development of new ideas, and fortifies the institution's academic community. Acknowledging these notable benefits, Academic Research Journals was conceptualized in August 2025 in collaboration with the fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information Systems (BSAIS) Students from the College of Business and Management (CBM) at Isabela State University – Cauayan Campus (ISU-CC). This system was designed to modernize research storage while also igniting a culture of academic quality that would inspire future generations.
